Australia Wide Tax Solutions knows that tax time can be confusing and overwhelming, which is why we’ve created this tax checklist to help you be organised and get the best tax refund possible.
Use our checklist as a guide to prepare for your appointment, but of course if there’s anything you’ve missed, you can always retrieve your document and send it to your tax accountant when you have it. Keep in mind, the more you prepare in advance, the faster your tax agent can lodge your tax return for you.
Your AWTS Tax Accountant will be able to access some of your information through their special portal to the ATO. This includes your payment summaries from your employers or Centrelink, income from banks and financial institutions, your superannuation contributions and your Medicare Levy. You’ll need to provide your Tax File Number (TFN) to your tax agent so they can lodge your tax return.
If you’re unsure what you need to bring, our tax accountants are always happy to explain what you do and don’t need to based on your circumstances. It’s best to make sure you have the most current and up-to-date documents as possible to avoid delays.
